About Chef Mykayla Vieira

Located in South Shore area with my husband Keith Vieira and our charming dog Niko (Pit/lab rescue). When I am not cooking,  I find balance through sports, traveling and social activities!


My story :

I was born and raised in Orange County California, surrounded by some of the world's best beaches, hotels and restaurants. There was no doubt I was a born foodie. Growing up I had the luxury to enjoy a variety of different cuisines. Unlike most five year olds, instead of asking for a normal cake, I asked for tea cakes, petit fours and freshly squeezed lemonade. Since a young age I've always loved to gather around the kitchen; From family parties/holidays, to a simple backyard BBQ with friends.

After Highschool I took my passion for cooking to the next level. I left home and took off to Rhode Island to attend Johnson and Wales University. I graduated with my Culinary Arts degree and Bachelors in Science for Foodservice management and hospitality. 


After graduation I remained on the East coast to  manage a small catering facility in Newport, Rhode Island  and Head Chef at a family owned restaurant. A few years into my career, I got a phone call to manage a location in the Boston area as well as a personal chef for the companies clientele. I gained a great deal of experience working under Angela's company. After the company took time to rearrange the business, I branched off to start my own personal chef / meal prep business called Fit Meals Today. A year later we have a pretty steady base and have helped hundreds of people achieve their goals.

My Inspiration :

My passion is to cook meals that better people's lives, whether it's introducing them to new flavors, or helping them reach their goals. I strive to create interesting dishes whether from seasonal items, local produce availability, and dishes I've experienced in my travels.
